CS eelectives - Areyes2511 - 12-24-2020

For people who have/are attending TESU for a computer science degree, do they provide you with a list of courses that would fulfill the cs electives area? Would they accept a course on digital logic? This course is typically taken in computer engineering but ive seen it in some CS programs.  At cal state SB, which i live next to, they list it as an upper level cs requirement. At my local community college they have a digital logic design course too. Ima take it even if they dnt accept it as a cs elective because im interested in that kind of stuff but it would be cool if they did accept it.

It helps if you can register and ask your advisor either by email or phone, if the courses you are talking about will work with your degree.

Many people on here take the courses on Study.com to fulfill the computer science requirements @ TESU. Here is link to the courses @ SDC that will match with other courses @ TESU. Go down to the middle of the page. https://study.com/college/school/thomas-edison-state-university.html Be careful because what lists at UL at one college may not list as UL for TESU even in this link. I had that problem at another online place too.

Here are some other places that offer credits too. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sources_of_Credit

TESU does NOT provide you with a list of "acceptable" courses. There are way too many possibilities for that. If you have a specific course in mind, fully enrolled students can ask their advisor about that course. If you already are a fully enrolled student, they probably won't answer your email until Jan 4th or 5th because of Winter Break.

If it's from the community college, I can't imagine it coming in as upper level unless they offer four-year degrees there and have other courses besides 100-200 level courses.

There are exceptions, though.

If you apply at TESU and get your evaluation and post it, it will be easier for us to help you.
