Any thoughts on Pearson Accelerated Pathways? - AmenSandhu - 12-21-2020
I was wondering If you could Incorporate Pearson Accelerated Pathways Into one of the "Big 3" college plans. Has anyone had experience with Pearson? If so, would you be able to take UL classes through them?

I'm not familiar with the program specifically but $6750 for 10 courses is roughly $225 per credit hour. If you're looking for RA credit, there are more affordable options.

Yeah, Lumerit was bought out by Pearson recently. I wonder how they managed that! Yeah, no. WAY too expensive, always has been. Doubles/Triples the cost of a degree at one of the Big 3 for no reason.
If you do EC, you don't need any RA credits, and you can get your entire degree for less than 10 courses at Lumerit/Pearson/whoever they are now.

No way! I'd honestly like to know more. I'm starting my Psychology degree from TESU on 1/1/21. I need 24 RA credits for admission (excluding the Cornerstone Courses). So If there's an alternative easier/faster way, I'm very Interested.

TEL Learning has RA courses for $200 each. My daughter is going to be my guinea pig for the quality of the courses.
Lots more options, including in-state tuition at your local CC (every state is different so you need to check pricing); NMJC is $70/cr + $40/course for out-of-state; Luna CC, Clovis CC (NM not CA); TECEP exams are $50/cr for LL; UExcel exams are $110 for most exams (some are more expensive); EA/ASU is $425/course; East TN State University is $300 each for 2 courses; Portage Learning is $198/cr. U of Arkansas Self Paced is $165/cr. U of Idaho IS is $160/cr and has tons of UL Psych courses if you wanted to take your Psych courses as actual courses instead of ACE/NCCRS.
Don't waste your time with Pearson.

$6750 for 10 courses? Yikes! That's more than 4 terms at UMPI. Heck, in 2 terms at UMPI I have completed 12 courses for $2,800. There's also a few community colleges in New Mexico with ridiculously cheap tuition.

Senior Citizens pay a whole $5/credit hour at Clovis CC. Not something I can avail myself of now, but at least I know how I'm spending my retirement!
Note also that - if you are able to handle the workload - 'You can enroll in 13-18 credits for the same cost as 12 credit hours'.
