Ed4Credit Lives On! Sort of. - eriehiker - 05-01-2020 Former alternative credit provider Ed4Credit has morphed into Ed4Career: https://ed4career.com/ The web site is pretty much the same. More interestingly, the learning management system is exactly the same. I can still login and see my digital badges and course records/percentages from when it was an ACE recommended provider. I have not checked to see if they would provide an official provider transcript, but there at least seems like some possibility that it could be done. RE: Ed4Credit Lives On! Sort of. - dfrecore - 05-01-2020 I think the site is nothing like it was - the course I took on there (Managerial Accounting) isn't even available. And some of the courses that are available are thousands of dollars. They are not ACE-recommended, so there would be no reason to take them. It's just all around nothing I would ever look at again. RE: Ed4Credit Lives On! Sort of. - bjcheung77 - 05-01-2020 Ed4online has a somewhat lengthy history, they have/had a few divisions such as Ed4career and Ed4credit, these two divisions target different markets so there were much less interaction in using both. I would recommend skipping Ed4career unless someone wants to use their courses for PLA/portfolio credit, otherwise, it would be cheaper going with any of the ACE/NCCRS sources. RE: Ed4Credit Lives On! Sort of. - jsd - 05-01-2020 i think ed4career came first, if i'm not mistaken. that was their original "form," then ACE came to them to participate in the defunct Alternative Credit Project and they created ed4credit, and now that ACP is dissolved, they didn't renew their ACE evals and are back to their original focus. Likely their ACE endeavor didn't result in much of a business benefit. They used to post around here, likely don't anymore since they're out of the ACE game, but maybe they still poke around and can correct me if I'm wrong. |
