New Course Provider - harrypotter - 04-09-2020
I think I just stumbled upon a new course provider with many lower level courses & 17 upper level.

Wow! They have a wide variety of courses. Does anyone know how they transfer to TESU (UL/LL)?

Don't know about TESU. But COSC has them on the does not take list as of Jan, 16, 2020.
Charter Oak State College reserves the right to limit or exclude the transfer of credit if the course content, assessment process , or student learning outcomes do not meet Charter Oak’s faculty standards. Given these standards, effective January 16, 2020, credit will no longer be accepted in transfer from the following organizations:
Consortium for International Studies (CIS)
Coopersmith Rechtschaffen Institute of Judaic Studies (RIJS) Tor Academy

I the bad news is they aren't new and they arent $10 that is just the study guide price. You also pay $150 per test and it is NCCRS. So probably not worth it unless you go to a school that accepts NCCRS and not ACE. Or if you are taking a unique course that cant be found anywhere else via alt credit (and idk if they have that).
Actually a good one that is unique is history of women in America and it is UL might be good of a history degree. But other than that course and maybe one of the fianance ones if it comes in as UL and doesn't duplicate. Everything else looks like it already exists other places and wouldn't be different or difficult to find for the big 3.

Where did you see that they cost $150? I just checked the whole site and couldn't find anywhere stating the cost of testing. In fact I just clicked to take a random test and was never asked to pay(though I exited before actually testing).

I didn't I thought it was too good to be true so I called them and over the phone they told me it costs $150 for the test. I know it didn't say it anywhere on the site, I couldn't find it either.

Basically, they updated the website so the look and view of the website are different than a few months ago, the pricing for the $150 no longer is showing there (it showed before the updated webpages). That is one of the reasons I don't have CIS on my list of providers anymore - because of the NCCRS and the $150 price tag/exam. I will probably add it back if they get more courses AND if they drop the pricing to say $100/exam.
Update: When I looked at them a few months ago, I actually thought they would be another option or rival of Onlinedegree.com as $10 would be a sweet deal. However, after trying to do a download of their study guide and mock test, it did pop up with a screen saying there would be a charge of $150 for the exam. As most of the courses don't duplicate Onlinedegree.com, it would have been amazing to have more credits for cheap.

Off topic, but what is the name of the provider that offered a couple of courses for $1 by mistake. Got the name of the provider or a link to the thread? I don't think it was CIS. I'm trying to find it.
I would say the following two courses would be good at TESU (if you can get them approved):
Advanced Financial Management (which is recommended UL) for the last UL finance course for a finance degree
History of Women in America (which is recommended UL) for the last UL history course for a history degree
So good find for that but for anything else unless you really like the format any other provider would be cheaper and also less headache to get approved since they have a public list (sdc, sl, etc.).

If this is associated with Coopersmith then I would assume TESU will take the credits but obviously verify beforehand with your advisor.
