Ok, in the next few months I will need to fill my Business Law credits for TESC. Since the DSST exam is the cheaper way to go, I'm going to try that first. If I don't pass.... can I then turn around and take the Business Law TECEP exam without a waiting period?

Has anyone done this?

I haven't done this, but I know other people that have. You should be fine, but to be really safe, I suggest that you (initially) not have the results of the DSST sent to TESC - wait till u know you passed. It'll cost you $20 (transcript fee) to do it this way, but it's safer.

Business law DSST was the last test I took, I studied one weekend a total of about 12 hours. It was not a fun test, I thought I was not gonna pass while I was taking it. Many strangely worded scenarios and lots of stuff I didn't see on IC and the study guide. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I passed. I should have studied more perhaps... It's certainly doable.

GettinMYBA.....hhmm, true. I suppose I could ask my advisor... IF he ever gets back to me. Sent email 2 weeks ago... no response....supposed to be 3 day lag time. Sent another email last week....still no response. Sent an email this morning through another address... no response. Started to get more than a little aggravated.

My suggestion is as follows: go to the library, or the bookstore, and get the Barron's Business Law 4th. Go over the test content sheet to make sure you cover specifically what's going to be in the test. About 8 or 9 days of study [@2hrs./day] will be enough to pass the test. You can do a 10 - 12 hour session, but you're not going to be able to process all the info. It's not an easy exam, but it's doable.
Follow the advise of the previous poster about not having the results send to avoid any problems if you don't score well.
If you do this, more than likely you won't need to take the TESC exam.
Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.... I am hoping to pass the DSST the first time around...but could use all the help I can get.

Going to try to get through Org Behavior and Human Resources Mgmt first.
