After Several Months I Failed Saylor CS102 - udi - 11-16-2019

I tried and tried, but ultimately I failed the Saylor CS102 exam. The only other exam I've failed is the Intro to Programming course at Onlinedegree.com, but that was by one point -- similar to many others. CS102 is the type of exam where you either know the answer or you don't. The scope of the course is too large. Most of the material isn't written for entry-level programmers. It spends a lot of time comparing Java and C++. I even went on to study the C++ course, thinking it would help me to better differentiate the two and help me prepare.

The type of information you have to remember is VERY difficult and I think it's too big of a jump from their CS 101 course.

I need another course for my lower level AOS for the Bachelor of Computer Science at TESU. Any suggestions for other courses? I think I started this course in March, have gone through it twice(+), and know when to quit.

Now, I need to go on to Linear Algebra which I have really been putting off because I don't know what to expect. It gets really difficult for me when the scope of the course is too large.

What % score did you get on the Certificate Final Exam? (not the proctored one)

How many hours total did you put into the course?

I plan on taking Principles of Finance at Saylor. It looks mostly math based.

Saylor courses are hard as the study materials aren't well made for most of their courses, there are a few that are good. From reading your other thread - It's great that they've lowered their costs from $25 to $13... and they're changing their provider from ProctorU too some other provider...

I started the course in March, but I don't know how many hours exactly. I took the certificate exams several times. The last few times, I got 70 and then close to 80, I think.
