TESU BALS - GM or HR Concentration - Learnfordegree - 11-03-2019 Is there anyone either completed or currently working on a BALS with General Management or Human Resources concentration? Would you please post the degree plan. RE: TESU BALS - GM or HR Concentration - lacussucceed - 11-04-2019 This degree plan by bjcheung77 is for a BSBA with GM concentration at TESU: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Beginners-Guide-To-Getting-Cheap-Fast-College-Credit--24842?pid=276872#pid276872 RE: TESU BALS - GM or HR Concentration - dfrecore - 11-04-2019 I completed it, but didn't use alternative providers for much. I got most of my AOS from B&M schools. Better to just ask for a degree plan using all alternative providers. RE: TESU BALS - GM or HR Concentration - allvia - 11-04-2019 I think the OP is looking not for assistance with a BSBA but with a TESU BA in Liberal Studies w/concentration in either GM or HR https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/general-management or https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/human-resource-management I recall this being talked about recently and I think the GM was not available because Change Management didn't have an alternative option (SDC has the course, but it is not currently available for credit). Not sure if the others required are available, but I believe they were. Not sure about the HR option, but it too requires Change Management - so it would not be able to be completed through the alternative credit options (ACE/NCCRS) Depending on what credits you already have it may be easier, and more cost effective, to just opt for the BSBA degree for these concentrations. RE: TESU BALS - GM or HR Concentration - Learnfordegree - 11-04-2019 Thank you all for the responses. I was thinking that the BALS with either GM or HR concentration will be a little easier than BSBA due to less Math requirement (already have Int. Algebra). At the same time it seems little better than a BALS without any Concentration. I could possibly do Change Management through TESU if no alternate is available (could utilize tuition reimbursement). I currently have a total of 56 credits. Just looking at different options. If you do want to stick with the BALS there are concentrations that can be completed through the alternative method; such as Humanities https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/humanities1 and Social Sciences https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/social-sciences1 - There may be others as well, I just see those two as the most commonly discussed here. If you're going no concentration, you may want to consider COSC if cost is primary factor for you; they are currently the lowest cost for such a degree. RE: TESU BALS - GM or HR Concentration - NeverDone - 11-04-2019 OP, I totally get you. You may consider UMPI (https://online.umpi.edu/programs/bls-management-minor.aspx ), it's free to apply, they'll pay for your transcripts and they've got a BLS for GM. They have a 30 credit residency but the fees are low and the program won't call for much math. Best wishes. |
