Schools like WGU for an accelerated / affordable Masters (Business) - tpratt4321 - 09-22-2019 Hi All, Just finished my B.S. in Business Management degree at WGU. I cannot matriculate to their MS or MBA because I finished early and have 4.5 months left in my semester. I'm looking to get started on something in the meantime, either by taking some transferable course work or just choosing to do my graduate degree at another school. I understand I may need to make tradeoffs but ideally I'd like to find the following in a school. - Regionally accredited preferably non-profit. - Able to complete in 12 months or less - Online only - Affordable without massive debt - Has an upcoming start date (sometime in next 2 months) Are there any options? Or Should I just wait and jump in at WGU again next year? You will not be able to begin a graduate program unless your undergrad degree has been conferred. Fortunately, WGU will confer their degree after course completion and not at the end of the semester. Their issue with starting in a new program is that you can't matriculate to a second degree program until your semester end date. They told me it has something to do with Dept. of Ed requirements. I'm hoping there are other options to pursue a similar program rather than wait 4 months to continue there. Kennedy University, and Purdue Global For-Profit Competency-Based Programs: Rasmussen College, Capella University, and Walden University RE: Schools like WGU for an accelerated / affordable Masters (Business) - Ideas - 09-22-2019 Some schools might admit you conditionally without a conferred degree, or let you take classes as a non-degree student which would apply once you get admitted. I'm not sure which schools.
