Study.com Code - timblackwell - 07-05-2019 Anyone have a recent Study.com referral coupon code? RE: Study.com Code - bjcheung77 - 07-05-2019 Hey Tim... And All... For those who need a coupon code, you can PM me. I do not need a referral bonus, but I can get my cousin to refer you. Basically, send me your email address by Private Message and I'll get my cousin to send you a referral by email. Thanks, RE: Study.com Code - cookderosa - 07-06-2019 (07-05-2019, 06:50 PM)bjcheung77 Wrote: Hey Tim... And All... what is the benefit of a referral? RE: Study.com Code - bjcheung77 - 07-06-2019 Yup, they recently changed the referral to $20 off first month subscription and the referrer getting the same amount. However, I liked their previous system a bit better and commented on it... I guess they read my previous post and made the change a week or so later: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Coopersmith?pid=289445#pid289445 Essentially, the referral previously was $40 off the first month and the referrer getting a $10 bonus for referring people. I mentioned in that previous post to make it more "even for both parties". What I didn't know was, they made a change... I was going to recommend Study.com do the following instead. Keep the $40 discount off the first month and bump the $10 bonus for referring people to $20. The reason to this is simple, slightly lower profit, but rewarding both parties more evenly. Example, People are paying monthly at $200/month for 2 exams $70/extra exam, if someone pays for two exams, that's $140 for two extra courses. Total $340/month (profit). By keeping the $40 discount and adding a $20 referral for the referrer, you're keeping your profit at exactly that $140/2 course discount. Currently, you're at $160/2 course discount - $20 for referrer, $20 for person referred, and previously before the change, you were at $150/2 course discount - $10 for referrer and $40 for referred. When I first looked at Study.com, I calculated their Premium Edition vs College Accelerator version. There is absolutely no difference if you take either one, at $70/month for the Premium vs $200 for the College Accelerator, I did a random number from 1 all the way up to 12 courses a month, you can not get any "cheaper" going for one or the other. The only way it would be "cheaper" would be to get a referral and do multiple exams at $70/exam. TLDR - Study.com, please update your referral bonus, so it would benefit the new member more (Keep the $40 new signup discount of 20% off, and also keep the $20 referral bonus for the person referring). I really like the referral bonus for referring people, but I am here more for the new students, and getting them hooked on the service at a cheaper price point. The bonus for existing members is just gravy to it! |
