Non-Western Literature? - YankeeDoodle - 05-06-2019

Firstly, what a general topic. Secondly, where can I find a cheap class on "Non-Western Literature?"

RE: Non-Western Literature? - Ideas - 05-07-2019

Many of us have been looking for a cheap class for a couple years. The only way seems to be if you have an in-state (community) college with one. We found one or two in the $600 range, but I could never find the course actually available in a term. I believe the best that is regularly available is over $700.

TESU is going to be your best bet for it, I hate to tell you. They have "Non Western Lit" in a 400 course or "African Encounters" in a 300 course. I took African Encounters

Yeah probably. My local CC has a Non Western Lit course and they are only ~$100/credit, however this course is only offered in person and not online. Check your local CC and see if they have one.

I could swear someone posted recently about a course somewhere that was relatively cheap and looked promising for meeting this requirement, but now I can't find the thread.

Yeah, I read it here. If someone wants to try it... it may work. https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-My-Journey-BA-in-English-from-TESU?pid=288601#pid288601

The course possibility is African Folktales from Fresno Pacific University Continuing Education.  The link is http://ce.fresno.edu/independent-studies/lit-912 and there is a $10 off coupon code SummerBreak2019

Another suggestion was this one: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-TESU-BA-in-English-after-Shmoop?pid=273089#pid273089

Quote:U of Idaho IS ($510) - ENGL 4476: Shakespeare
- they also have 2 LL courses that would fulfill the Nonwestern Lit requirement: World Literature I and World Literature II (17th Century to present)

I doubt those will work. TESU said no to other "World Lit" because they had some European and/or North American content.
