Excelsior AP Transfer guide - cstun000 - 03-17-2019

Howdy team!

I'm hoping someone can help me with any credit equivalencies they may have received for AP exams for Excelsior college? I know that the lang/lit course is the best for Excelsior Writing requirement but that's all I can find?

Below are my scores I am wondering about and what they would transfer as per ACE guidelines but... no where can I find what course equivalents it covers such as Excelsior posts for CLEP/Uexcel/Dantes.  If you can help me identify the corresponding courses for Excelsior for the AP scores below I would be grateful.

English Lit - 4
English Lang - 4
Gov & Politics US - 3
Gov & Politics Comparative - 3
US History - 4
Environmental Science - 4
European History - 4
Art History - 4
Biology- 4

Without a list, I can tell you with about 95% certainty that you'll get full ACE value for every score (3 or higher). http://www2.acenet.edu/credit/?fuseaction=browse.getOrganizationDetail&FICE=300271

BTW, you're awesome- those are great scores and so many of them!!! Did you pick up the AP Scholar awards too?

Just an FYI that applies to TESU, but I'm not sure how EC/COSC do it: TESU follows ACE exactly for AP. Unlike most other schools, TESU has no policy to accept AP except through ACE (the thousands of other schools that take AP exams take them on their own merit, and most schools have a policy right on their website).

The bad thing about it for TESU students is that the AP English Language exam expired through ACE on 12/31/17, and so TESU won't give any credits for that exam if you take it after that expiration date. That exam is the most popular and something like 800,000 people take it each year, and if you took it this year and passed, Harvard will take it but TESU won't.

TESU asks for official score reports to be sent directly from the College Board.

https://www.tesu.edu/academics/catalog/ap-tests

Quote:The College Entrance Examination Board administers the Advanced Placement Program (AP), a series of college-level examinations, to high school juniors and seniors. Thomas Edison State University will grant up to 6 credits per exam for AP examinations for which a score of 3 or better has been awarded. Students should request that official score reports for these examinations be sent to the Office of the Registrar by contacting the AP Program. For more information, visit Advanced Placement Score Reporting Services.

I couldn't find Excelsior's policy on AP exams. They mention them in the document that shows equivalencies for CLEP and DSST, but they don't have equivalencies listed for AP. It's also unclear if they'll follow the ACE recommendations.
