Roadmap help for Bachelor's In Business (Marketing)/ MBA Dual Degree EXCELSIOR - Hpkitty - 03-09-2019 Has anyone done a dual BA/MBA at Excelsior? I can't quite figure out the required courses. RE: Roadmap help for Bachelor's In Business (Marketing)/ MBA Dual Degree EXCELSIOR - bjcheung77 - 03-09-2019 If you're in the US, I highly recommend you do the BSBA/MBA at WGU instead for a LOT cheaper/easier/faster than Excelsior. That's not the only reason either, WGU is ACBSP accredited and Excelsior is IACBE (which is the third and least known programmatic or secondary accreditation, not many people or schools even go for that accreditation). The value of the WGU degrees would be a better proposition than the degrees at Excelsior. So, in order to get started, you just pretty much take the same MS/CLEP courses for General Education or if you prefer everything online, do the StraighterLine and Study.com combo. Complete as many transferable courses as possible before you enroll, you can apply to both Excelsior/WGU free if you already have some SL/Study.com under your belt... RE: Roadmap help for Bachelor's In Business (Marketing)/ MBA Dual Degree EXCELSIOR - Merlin - 03-09-2019 I agree. None of the big three are cost-effective unless you're able to transfer in most of the credits towards a degree; their master's programs are even more expensive than the undergrad. If there were cheap ways to earn grad credits to transfer in, that might make it worthwhile, but there are not. So, with the dual degrees, you end up paying even more since you're required to take the master's courses from them directly, some of which apply to the undergrad degree as well (rather than being credits you can earn much faster and less expensively elsewhere). RE: Roadmap help for Bachelor's In Business (Marketing)/ MBA Dual Degree EXCELSIOR - dfrecore - 03-10-2019 I would NEVER do a master's degree at any of the Big 3. They are just too expensive. If you're going to spend that much money, you could go almost anywhere; and many schools will either cost less, or cost the same but have a better reputation/brand name. |
