Fastest PHD, DBA, etc - Johmford - 02-22-2019 Looking purely for least time to complete, any subject, to just obtain any PhD in any discipline from any institution MBA is complete, have experience in criminal justice and I’m proficient writer. RE: Fastest PHD, DBA, etc - sanantone - 02-22-2019 Arizona State University's Doctor of Behavioral Health is the fastest at 18 months. Nebraska Methodist College has an EdD that's two years. Many online programs are three years. All of the 12-month programs I've seen are for licensed medical professionals. RE: Fastest PHD, DBA, etc - bjcheung77 - 02-22-2019 For business programs, I usually recommend them with programmatic or secondary accreditation in addition to Regional Accreditation. The following have ACBSP accreditation and can be almost, if not, completed entirely online. However, they are all For-Profits. I also recommend the undergrad/masters coming from a non-profit/private, or state university and not a for-profit. 1) California Southern University DBA - roughly $30K 2) Capella 3) Walden 4) University of Phoenix Another For-Profit example is Colorado Technical University which has ACBSP but only up to the Masters level. They have several doctorates, but it's expensive, at $60K and takes up to 3 years for the degree. If you are not looking for the programmatic/secondary accreditation, then there are a few more... 1) University of the Cumberlands programs 2) Heriot-Watt University - Edinburgh Business School (UK) 3) UNISA (South Africa) RE: Fastest PHD, DBA, etc - sanantone - 02-22-2019 (02-22-2019, 02:46 PM)bjcheung77 Wrote: For business programs, I usually recommend them with programmatic or secondary accreditation in addition to Regional Accreditation. Because the dissertation is the largest variable, you have no way of calculating this estimate. It varies from person to person, subject to subject, and advisor to advisor. The notion that one can do a PhD "in any discipline" is fallacious. Not having a driving purpose, a central goal that keeps you moving forward, is a recipe for disaster in a PhD program. When it gets hard, when it gets messy, expensive, boring, and you're sick of it, doing it in some randomly selected discipline will ensure you quit before finishing. With PhD (and other doctoral) programs available from universities all over the world, your request is meaningless; there are literally hundreds that meet your definition. Can you be more specific? (You will need to be for yourself, certainly.) RE: Fastest PHD, DBA, etc - Johmford - 02-22-2019 (02-22-2019, 07:07 PM)MSagan Wrote:There are “so many” but you’ve failed to mention any. Really? I offered none. But I did suggest that pursing a PhD with no real driving objective was risky and likely to fail. Why do you care if I mention any? There are hundreds; do you really need someone to point that out to you? Don't be defensive. Take the information offered to you and do with it what you will.
