Science w/ a Lab -- let's talk about options! - edbrain - 02-01-2019 Looking for an online science + lab that isn't too insane, clear expectations/directions, and will meet the Charter Oak requirement. Would also love to learn something in the process! What do you suggest? What did you do? RE: Science w/ a Lab -- let's talk about options! - SuperTal - 02-01-2019 Straiterline Biology + Lab was fairly easy and transfers to Charter Oak. Could you estimate a time commitment for me, please? Thanks RE: Science w/ a Lab -- let's talk about options! - SuperTal - 02-01-2019 Really, it depends on what else you have going on. I'd say 2-3 weeks if you spend a couple hours a day. RE: Science w/ a Lab -- let's talk about options! - MNomadic - 02-01-2019 Most of the ones with labkits should be comparable but I recommend the study.com bio with lab course because it is a virtual lab and only costs an extra $40. RE: Science w/ a Lab -- let's talk about options! - dfrecore - 02-01-2019 Ed4Credit has Bio w/Lab and Chem I w/Lab. More expensive than some others, but not limited to 1 month which is nice for some. RE: Science w/ a Lab -- let's talk about options! - Cheeseburrito - 02-04-2019 Side-note: If you need this as a pre-req for any medical programs (pre-med, PA, NP, RN) you want to try to get a brick and mortar class on your transcript instead, or at least clear the course with your target school to ensure they will take it. Otherwise you're going to end up doubling up, spending time and money on the same class that might not get you any additional credits. Food for thought. RE: Science w/ a Lab -- let's talk about options! - cookderosa - 02-04-2019 COSC is getting picky that your lab and science course match, so FYI. Both my boys did the Straighterline Nutrition course and are doing the nutrition lab at Rio. If not, what would be the best option other than Biology, Physics and Chemistry? Nancy at Pierpont said they don't accept Nutrition as a Science requirement. |
