United States History I - Bigcarl37 - 01-31-2008 I purchased the REA CLEP for US History 1, I have been reading thru it, but it seems to run around the big stuff. Is there anything else I need to study besides the book and Instantcert? Thanks for the Help. United States History I - ShotoJuku - 01-31-2008 US 1 was my very first CLEP exam. REA and IC-Flashcards, that's what I used; 3-weeks later after some dedicated study I passed. I would also add the Petersons practice tests too. United States History I - studyhard - 01-31-2008 Well, I supplemented with a whoppin' book called "A Patriot's History of the United States" but you don't necessarily need it per se. I would, however, take a look at all of the US history sections offered here: History Study Guides - SparkNotes REA tends to just hit the highlights and not really give you all the details. However, be sure and take all the REA practice exams and read the answer explanations. Then a lot of times I go back and take them again to see if I remember the right answer. Then take the practice CLEP in the Offical Clep book and see how you do. Good luck!
