Alright I read that credits transfered from TESC Credit bank would be accepted to Excelsior.

Then I read that a loophole was closed

What is the current status concerning the transferability of FEMA courses into Excelsior?

thank you

You must have them sent via FCC to EC now.

see web Frederick Community College - Home and it's $60 per course.

Does anyone have an idea why EC changed this.

alright so does anyone have a good idea (cheap) as to how to get credits which would allow me to get FEMA credits sent to Excelsior?

Based on my research, Excelsior will ONLY accept FEMA credits through Frederick Community College or Claucamus Community College. (I might not have spelled the second college correctly.) I don't understand why they do this at all.

The FEMA courses are all A.C.E. certified so I don't understand why they put you through the hassle. I for instance have 25 raw FEMA credits that Thomas Edison State College will accept for FREE. And they accept up to 25 credits. Excelsior will only accept up to 15 credits and they have to be transcripted by the colleges mentioned above.

Let's use an example shall we...I don't see the point of paying $60 per course for say 15 credits (using Excelsior) when that will cost you $900. When, even if you took 5 exams (through CLEP/DSST for 3 credits each) would only cost you around $325. Unless money is not an issue for you then by all means. But it does give everyone something to think about.

Just to add. CLEPS are $65 per exam and testing center fees vary. The school I picked to use as a testing center charges $20 per month. DSST exams are $70 per exam and testing center fees vary.

I would seriously take a look at Thomas Edison State College depending on how many FEMA credits you have. For example if you have 25 FEMA credits you would like to transfer...that would cost you $900 to have them transcripted for Excelsior (and you lose the other 10 credits you earned because they only accept up to 15) when TESC will accept them for FREE and will accept up to 25.

Hope this info helps you at all.
