February LIB-495 Capstone - zzzz24 - 12-29-2018
Anyone else at TESU going to be registering for this course? Feb 4 - Apr 28.
Trying to decide what mentor to pick. Otto, Argen, Hansen or Brown.
Leaning towards Otto or Hansen.

I plan to call academic advising this week to get things straightened out so I can register for February. I'm also deciding between Otto and Hansen, although I'm leaning more towards Hansen. I'll do a little more looking around before deciding.

I highly recommend Hansen. She has been a mentor for the capstone for years. She is gentle but knowledgeable. Otto is also good, but is a tough grader and makes you work harder than most mentors.

Thanks, I think I am leaning more towards choosing her as well now.

I'll second this. I liked Otto, but sometimes he nitpicked things a bit.

Excellent choice. I am on my last month with her as my mentor, and she is the best! Highly recommend to anyone else that has the opportunity to take the class with her as the mentor. Good luck!

On another note, does anyone know how to pay for a class that you're registered for but haven't paid yet?

I know they can send you a payment link by email, they did that when I signed up for the cornerstone.
I just looked and couldn't figure out on OSS how to pay for a course if you are already registered for it.
Since I wasn't registered for the capstone, after selecting it, it took me to the payment screen.

I've looked everywhere and can't find it. I have an email into TESU about it but thought I'd ask in case there was something obvious in OSS that I was missing.
I went to the payment screen, but then realized that the affiliate discount wasn't on my account and there was no cancel button so I (stupidly) backed out. The office had closed by the time I found the number to call to get the discount added to my account. So then I decided to just fork over the extra money and register anyways since the class would probably fill up over the weekend. But now it says I'm already registered so I can't go forward to the payment page anymore.
