TESC to University of Chicago Law School - sanantone - 11-20-2018

In the Fall 2018 issue of Invention, I saw that a Lael Weinberger just graduated with a JD from the University of Chicago Law School. I looked him up on LinkedIn to see if he went directly from TESC to law school, and he didn't. He earned a master's degree from Northern Illinois University.

Nice findings. Are you implying, Sanantone, that it is difficult to get into a law program coming straight from TESU, even with a good LSAT score?

Getting into any law school shouldn't be a problem, but getting into a top 5 one like Univ of Chicago might be a challenge.

Still, he followed a good path from his TESU degree to his Master's degree.

One of the schools I am applying to is Rutgers for my MA and I will see how they treat another NJ schools degree.

Before this, there was a story of a TESC graduate getting into Harvard Law, but he started at a lower-ranked law school and transferred. It might be possible to go straight from TESU to a T14 law school, but I don't think I've seen it yet.

TESU has mainly three types of students: adult learners who dropped out of other schools, military who have a lot of ACE/CLEP/DSST credits, and homeschooled kids who tested out of a large portion of their degrees.
