TESU has their own CLEP prep program? - MNomadic - 10-23-2018 Stumbled upon something interesting the other day. It looks like last year TESU launched a pilot program for their own clep prep courses in partnership with modern states. I'm not sure if the program is still active or not. By the way, I did a search for it on the forum and unsurprisingly got a million results from searching "TESU" and "CLEP." https://www.tesu.edu/news/1637532/thomas-edison-state-university-to-pilot-free-clep-prep-program https://www.tesu.edu/academics/cal/clep-prep-pilot-program Also, for students who are currently enrolled at TESU and have access to the myedison site, there are other resources for preparing for CLEP and DSST. While on the myedison site, click "research resources" near the top, then click PrepSTEP. That will take you to learningexpresshub where you can set up a free account and access prep materials and practice tests for most of the CLEPs and DSSTs in addition to some other academic resources like grad school entrance exam prep materials(GRE, GMAT, LSAT, etc). The 2 courses listed are Principals of macroeconomics, introductory business law. It looks like it uses the same material from MS but with the addition of a teacher/subject matter expert to guide you through it and help answer questions. It was only a pilot program but seems like it would be a great option for CLEPs, TECEPS, etc. RE: TESU has their own CLEP prep program? - studyandpass5 - 10-25-2018 (10-23-2018, 02:10 PM)MNomadic Wrote: Stumbled upon something interesting the other day. I took the Macroeconomics class that TESU offered for their CLEP Prep Pilot Program. It was ok. The teacher was not very good, unfortunately. I'm not sure if they're going to do Business Law or not; that's been up for a while. It may be worth it for some to take advantage of it if they're still going to offer the Pilot Program. I personally did not find it very helpful. |
