New person here - stillwater89 - 01-17-2008 Hello all, how are you doing today? I just found about the clep and dsst test. I wish i did know about this along time ago, i have been reading all that each of you have write. I sign up with instant cert because you guys have give good feed back about it. I want to go for the psychology degree from excelsior college what's a good way for me to do that?. And how fast do you think it can be done? I do have some credit from college i think about 30 or so. I thank you all. New person here - Kelley - 01-19-2008 I am just starting this process as well and I am going to just start taking the test beginning with what I think will be easiest for me to get my feet wet. After I get a few passes under my belt I will apply to TESC and Excelsior to see which one will allow me to complete my degree the quickest. I recommend that you just pick a test, study and just do it. After you get started you won't be able to stop. I am taking my first test next week and I am very excited, hopefully the weather will cooperate with me next week! Good Luck! Kelley New person here - larry7crys - 01-21-2008 Gary Calvin or gcalvin is finishing his degree in 60 days. Please contact him for more info. A good way is to apply to the college, get a degree plan, and then CLEP/DSST/ECE your way out of classes. Good Luck! Are you saying you can apply ($75), send any pertinent transcripts (including CLEP, DSST) and then they will give you a degree plan AND be available to answer questions about future classes, tests they may or may not accept (LSU, Penn Foster, etc.), in other words counseling and advising you along the way, BEFORE you actually officially enroll, pay the big bucks and start the clock ticking on your year of 'tuition'? Thanks! New person here - larry7crys - 01-21-2008 I'm not an advisor but that is the route I took, given that I don't pay the yearly tuition. I would ask gcalvin instead. New person here - stillwater89 - 01-23-2008 thanks all. I took the amerecan gov 1 and 2 but i did not past 2. so i now have an understanding of how the clep is. So kelley have you try any of the clep yet? yes i think i will try and take most of the test before i sent any to the schools. |
