Straighterline Intro to Communications - theloudcity - 09-29-2018 I have a couple of questions about this class. First of all, does anyone know if the grade totals are correct? Exam 1: 100 Points Exam 2: 100 Points Exam 3: 100 Points Exam 4: 100 Points MidTerm Exam: 150 Points Final Exam: 150 Points Informative Speech: 100 Points Persuasive Speech: 100 Points Total: 900 Points Plus: Self-Intro Speech: 10 Points Extra The syllabus has these differences: MidTerm Exam: 100 Points Persuasive Speech: 200 Points Final Exam: 200 Points Makes me wonder if it's suppose to be 1000 points or not. That 100 Points could be the difference between someone passing or not so I was just curious what everyone thought. Also just curious what everyone got on their speeches? The idea of doing these gave me so much anxiety. (I'm sure I'm not alone.) Then I ended up getting a 98% on the two big speeches. I know one shouldn't complain but I totally feel they weren't graded at all. Just curious if anyone else got the same grades.

I haven't taken that specific course, but I have taken a lot of SL courses, and they are all supposed to add up to 1000 points. RE: Straighterline Intro to Communications - douknowme40 - 10-01-2018 It should be 1000 points. The speeches are super simple. I really enjoyed the course. You should have no difficulty with it at all. RE: Straighterline Intro to Communications - theloudcity - 10-04-2018 Thanks for the replies. I ended up writing them and asking if there was a mistake and they said there should be only 910 points. "In regards to the number of points for the Introduction to Communication course, the course assignments add up to 910 points. Students would still need to receive a minimum of 70% in the course for it to be eligible for credit transfer." |
