Sophia/WGU - AwardTour - 09-01-2018 I am going to email Sophia and WGU, but I do not expect a quick response because of the holiday weekend. I was wondering if anyone had info on what can transfer from Sophia to WGU? Most of the pages at Sophia.org contain a transfer list to each school. For some reason the WGU page on Sophia's site is blank. https://wgu.sophia.org/ ????? ![]() The last post in this thread suggests that a transfer guide was once visible at http://wgu.sophia.org https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Sophia-Transfer-Credits-Directly-to-School RE: Sophia/WGU - quigongene - 09-01-2018 It's a little old, but it looks like it's been done before. WGU is pretty ACE friendly (I transferred in Project Management and Public Speaking from Study.com). https://www.reddit.com/r/WGU/comments/34eix6/rejected_straighterline_or_sophia/ RE: Sophia/WGU - AwardTour - 09-01-2018 (09-01-2018, 03:31 PM)quigongene Wrote: It's a little old, but it looks like it's been done before. According to an archived copy of the page from a few years ago Sophia did have a complete transfer guide at one point https://web.archive.org/web/20160422124457/https://wgu.sophia.org/ I just want to make sure that a recent change has not happened between Sophia and WGU. RE: Sophia/WGU - dfrecore - 09-01-2018 WGU is pretty consistent about taking ACE (but not NCCRS) courses. But it's best to wait if you're not sure. RE: Sophia/WGU - bjcheung77 - 09-04-2018 Hmm, I just noticed this WGU thread. Weird, I didn't catch it previously. WGU is a great option if TESU doesn't work for you, but I highly suggest sticking it out with TESU unless you are in the USA or authorized by WGU to do this outside of the US. Even though there are "ways around that", I suggest not going that route... I'm looking to start my BS in Business - IT Management from WGU soon and was wondering if you could provide any insight about which Sophia courses you were - or weren't - able to transfer. RE: Sophia/WGU - GizmoJack - 08-16-2020 Here is what WGU's College of IT approved from Sophia on my eval. The Enrollment Counselor informed me that Sophia courses are still under review and some/all of this is subject to change but she couldn't say when or what. This info is good as of 7/10/20: Sophia English Composition I = WGU English Composition I – C455 Sophia Introduction to Statistics = WGU Introduction to Probability and Statistics – C459 Sophia Art History I = WGU Introduction to Humanities – C100 Sophia Environmental Science = WGU Integrated Physical Sciences – C165 Sophia US History I = WGU Survey of United States History – C121 Sophia Introduction to Psychology = WGU Introduction to Psychology – C180 Sophia Microeconomics = WGU Microeconomics – C718 Sophia Macroeconomics = WGU Macroeconomics – C719 Sophia Algebra= WGU Applied Algebra – C957 Courses they would not accept into the IT/Business school: Sophia Accounting Sophia Project Management Hope this helps!
