Hey, everyone!
As usual, I'm still deeply pondering my next move, and still not any closer to making decisions
I decided to take a day off from the other site to ask about something I remember reading on this site. I've seen members post about a community college that operates similar tot he Big Three, in that you can transfer all or almost all of your credits in from outside sources. I don't remember what the name of the school was, or what the conditions were. If anyone would kindly point me to the school and/or a thread that discusses the topic, I'd be very grateful.

quigongene posted the information on the school; however I wanted to point out based on your signature you're not eligible (as it indicates you have both an Assocaite degree and Bachelor degree already), as it is only for those who do not have not earned a degree.

One option to keep in mind is a reverse transfer back to a community college that a student attended early in life. I have 13 credit hours at a community college that I earned during the summers while attending high school. I have my eye on an associate's degree in general technology with a customizable area of emphasis. I have a bunch of ed. tech. graduate classes that I might be able to transfer in at little cost.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to pick up an AA when you already have the BSBA, ASNSM and all those certs? I know you enjoy learning, but how does another AA degree make a difference? It seems like just an added expense for a piece of paper that you probably won't do anything with, aside from maybe hang it on a wall along with all the other diplomas and certificates of achievement if you need to fill an open space.
If it were me, it seems like a far better and more useful option would be to work on a new graduate degree of some kind. Maybe an Ed.D given you already have the MAT.

I've got nothing good to say about Pierpont at this point. My vote: skip it. I thought it was great too (not for me, but for many parents who follow my FB page or their older teens w/o a degree) so I even created a FB group specifically for homeschool parents to connect and help each other out. I've since deleted it- having gone through this with my older son, it's not worth the trouble it creates. I wouldn't encourage anyone to get into a situation where you get to "say" you have a degree but can't EVER prove it.

That's really unfortunate. I'll keep an eye on this school to see if the situation improves, but for now, I will spare others the heartache.

What are you wanting to do with the cert? Are you changing careers? Which field/program is the cert going to be in?
Penn Foster and similar certificates are more in line with career prep options, I don't think it will aid you much in any field.
Find the career you want to get into or field you would like to specialize in, then get a graduate certificate or micromasters/nanodegree. Anything undergraduate level would be a waste of money and time, you can try getting a WGU Masters for double the price of a cert.
