So....How is your day going - 2L8 - 07-08-2018
I know this is weird but I wanted to start a thread where everyone states their day , just to get a conversation flowing. For starters I finally cooked a foreign dish and it came out right and after that I found some abandoned baby racoons in my shed , don't know what to do yet. How was your day?

I went out for brunch then got some grocery shopping in. Gonna study for CLEP a bit and relax the rest of the day. Not a bad day overall.
So is there no sign of the momma racoon?

, there was no sign of her. I want to do something but my worst fear is if I do she'll attack.

That is a scary prospect indeed.
I had a small win earlier: I checked out the REA CLEP Introduction to Psychology book from my library and it looks like I was the first to redeem the code on the inside cover. So I will get free access to the online study materials too!

That's a very great CLEP book to study from , it's very informational and actually makes psychology seem fun. Kudos for redeeming that code , if only I thought of that method.

Great, I am still on the North Shore, Oahu. Bad, because vacation ends tomorrow, then back to the salt mine.

I always wanted to go there after seeing a surf documentary in the 11th grade. But I have one question if you don't mind me asking this , are the locals nice?

Yes, the locals are nice. I've been there many times (and Kauai, the Big Island, and Maui as well), and the locals are very nice. In 19 years of going, we haven't ever had a bad experience there at all in terms of anyone not being nice (sometimes the food is subpar, but that's another story).
My husband goes to Oahu at least 4x a year for work, and has never had a bad experience either. His only complaint is the traffic.

I've been longing to go for a while , possible transfer to a 2-year there. I've seen beautiful pictures of the island so I can imagine how it is actually being there. How was your day?

Locals have been great every time we go. Too bad there aren't more decent-paying jobs. But I hear there may be a spaceport opening up there at some point, so I might have future options.
