TEEX Expired? - ISKBizz15 - 07-06-2018
Are the free TEEX courses still available for credit? It says on the ACE National Guide that it expired 6/30/18, I'm wondering if it's been renewed or not.

Someone got an email from TEEX where they stated they are in the process of renewing:
"Cyber 101, 201, and 301 are in the review process by ACE. We expect that they will be approved and continue to be eligible for ACE credit. "

I already enrolled in one of their courses.
Does that mean I should wait and not start the class until they for sure have renewed it? I don't want to finish it and them not give me credit if it was before their ACE renewal.

I can't quite figure out why TEEX would spend the time and money getting these free courses ACE-recommended in the first place. But it's nice that they have.

Btw, I just checked my ace account. All 3 Teex cyber security classes are approved for credit through 9/30/2018.

If you're in the least bit interested in the content, go ahead and do them. Just wait until renewal to submit to ACE.

I'm so confused. Does that mean I will get credit for them if I finish and submit to ACE within the week? I know they said they're in the renewal process but how the heck am I supposed to know when/if they're approved? Now you're saying they're approved for credit through 9/30/2018. Someone give me the answer lol.

Don't take my word for it. If you check the specific courses on the ACE website, you'll see that they are currently approved until 9/30/18.

It is a very normal for schools to get a series of short extensions when renewing ACE approval. ALEKS has had about a year of extensions.
