I'll be graduating with a BSBA in Accounting from TESU in June (Finally!). I'm interested in learning how to program and was looking into a software development "bootcamp" to start after I graduate, but now I'm thinking that a BS at WGU might be the smarter option. Specifically the BS in Software Development or Computer Science depending on when it becomes available.
Does anyone have experience with the Software Dev degree or any other WGU degree for that matter? If so, what has been your experience? How many competencies do you generally complete per term? How is the curriculum delivered? Etc. Also, will they accept a BS from TESU to waive all of the gen ed courses?

I have nothing for the first part, but know that the BS will cover all of your Gen Eds. I would say that if you decide that you want to do the WGU degree, you go through and figure out what else you can do inexpensively before you enroll. Not only will they take the GE's, but they will take a lot of other coursework/exams for major requirements. For instance, with the SW Dev degree, you can transfer in Intro to IT, a Networks course, a Data Management course, a course in C++ or Java, and Project Management - all courses that can be done inexpensively through the ways we discuss here on this forum. While you're actually paying so not "saving" money, they will save you time - and that is what's going to save money in the long term, since the fewer courses you need to take at WGU, the fewer terms you can take to finish.
