Hi all!
First of all I would like to apologize if this is in the incorrect area for this post and if it is to either assist me in moving it or please move it as you see so (I have not really worked with forums like this before so I am unaware).
I am typing this at 1:54 AM on a Monday morning after work when I have to work tomorrow as well because it has finally hit me.
My name is Austin, I am currently 20 years old have dropped out of college once and university once. I've made mistakes and I have kept beating myself up because of it. I am using this as my motivation because I finally know that I am going for accounting at TESU. I have chosen this path because I can't see myself continuing regular school. Online education is not difficult for me and in-class education is even easier. The problem I have run into with school is that I work too fast, faster than the "fast kids". And because of this I have usually been put off from being engaged in classes once I have outpaced everyone else. I see this opportunity at TESU to complete a degree the way that best fits me. But this didn't just hit me now, this hit me months ago. I knew I was going to be completing a degree by the testing out method I just wasn't sure what I wanted to dedicate myself to at the time. Because of it, I have been struggling with constant perils in my own mind. It has affected my relationship with my beautiful girlfriend, my work ethic, and the overall atmosphere that I hold around myself.
But tonight (this morning?) I have finally defeated it. I was scared to settle again from fear of failing and I new before I jumped into something I actually had to have it figured out in my own head. Like a chess play, i refuse to make a move until I had my whole game plan figured out. As you can see this has been very problematic. Now I'm here, clear of mind but so hungry I can't sleep because I want what I have been striving for and beating myself up over for so long. I'm typing this up as a commitment to not only myself, but to you guys. The people of this forum, who constantly help out one another as I refuse to continue being a bystander watching you help each other knowing that I'm in the same position as some of the people you all have so graciously helped. I type because I am ready to accept help and admit I don't know everything about this process and I am ready to learn as much as possible.
I don't have a lot of transferable credits that will apply to a specific major, mostly just junk credit's for the fun of going to school. So I still need knock out my pre-requisites and have a lot of work ahead of me.
If anyone has a current outline to a degree in Accounting from TESU I would appreciate it if you share it with me! Also I am going to make it a commitment to follow up with this post to dedicate my progress to it and hopefully motivate others as you all have motivated me for months now. Thank you all for anything you contribute positive or negative.
Currently I have already set up an ACE transcript and am looking at pre-requisites on some of the more recommended sites, (Saylor, Study, and even testing out of them with CLEP/DSST). What should my next steps be and what else should I be looking to do at this time?

Enroll at TESU with the Study.com affiliation since you plan to go quickly.
Apply for the Study.com Guardian Scholarship.
Most people do the free credits first.

And go ahead and send your transcripts in. Some of your credit may work, and you'll have to do it in the end anyway.

Hi Austin,
I don't have any words of wisdom, just wanted to say good luck and STICK TO IT! When I started on my bachelor's path, I set a strict, but reasonable schedule, and stuck to it 90% of the time. I allowed myself a tiny break here and there as long as I was 90% on target.
It worked.

Always send your credits, because every school will want to see them, and many of the courses will count towards your GE requirements at just about any school.
Here's a plan. It's a start, but you need to do some additional research.
