Study.com questions - xjarhead1999 - 02-04-2018

Hey guys, the more I search and read the more I get confused. Sorry if these are stupid questions.
I'm working on a bachelor's degree in business administration at Ashford.
Anyone have any experience with Study.com ACE credits transferring to Ashford? Any problems?
Would any of the business courses at study.com potentially transfer over as the major course requirements?
Would I be better off just trying to knock out a few general education and electives?
Any suggestions on classes?
I know the policies of non traditional credits at Ashford but my advisor isn't very helpful. His stance is I should just stick to the schools plan and not take courses outside of it. Once the credits I already have are finally transferred I should have about a year knocked off. I'd like to get another year knocked off by non traditional credit.

No idea on the answer - but OF COURSE he's telling you to go with Ashford's courses. His job is to get students to take courses there, and for the school to make as much money as possible.

I'd either find another advisor, or don't bother asking this one for help with what you're trying to do. There's no point.

Also, many advisor's don't know the policies well, and won't know what you can take outside of the school for credit. It's not part of their job to help you with that. TESU won't help with it either, especially if you say "can you tell me what I can take somewhere else and bring in?" Instead, you have to specifically ask "if I take Study.com's XXX course, what will that transfer in as?"
