Graduating with BSBA before getting the associate degree at TESU - posabsolute - 01-30-2018 Hey guys, So I'm looking into the possibility of getting an associate, however, I'm kinda short on June graduation. The enrollment office said that if I graduate with my BSBA before my associate I might have to retake some course. Is that true? In general, what would be the consequences of getting an associate after graduating with the bachelor at TESU? thanks! RE: Graduating with BSBA before getting the associate degree at TESU - Ideas - 01-30-2018 Yeah, the Associates would need 12 new credits (obtained since the conferral of your Bachelor's). So say right now you only needed 6 for the Associates. You would have to do 6 that you didn't need. But if you already need 12 more, then you're not worse off. Just 2 graduation fees. RE: Graduating with BSBA before getting the associate degree at TESU - bjcheung77 - 01-30-2018 I would recommend if you can get it at the same time, that'll be ideal. 1 residency waiver, 1 grad fee, two degrees. Check to see if you can finish a couple of cheap/easy/fast courses from Saylor/SL/Study.com in regards to CS/CIS. If you take the Associates courses AFTER your Bachelors, you need to take at least 12 NEW credits in Comp Science. Also, there is no guarantee that your residency waiver will work for the AA, meaning you'd have to pay it again. RE: Graduating with BSBA before getting the associate degree at TESU - posabsolute - 01-31-2018 Well, if the advisor confirms that the CS associate does not require the theory requirements, I'm going to have an interesting 2 months to complete all of that. Fortunately, I'm half-way done with case 7, I could probably push through my missing requirements. |
