I just found out I failed the Federal Income Taxation TECEP. I only have 3 classes left- an upper level Acc course, capstone, and Intermediate Accounting II.

Besides CBE's, what other options are there for upper level accounting courses?

I've taken Acc 301 and 302 from Study.com. Also have Cost Acc from SL. Just need one more.

Just wondering, how did you fare on the exam? Did you fail but a few points?
If you were very close to passing, I would recommend going for the exam again.
As most courses elsewhere, would be at least twice as expensive (CSU Global CBE)

Thanks for your response.

How long do I have to wait to retake a TECEP?

I scored 52

You can register for the next term. As per TESU: https://www.tesu.edu/degree-completion/TECEP-Policies-and-Contact-Info.cfm
I would review the TECEP requirements: https://www2.tesu.edu/tecep.php?CourseCode=ACC-421
Further to that, I would get more resources to study for, including what is within the TECEP PDF above.

Another option is Fed Income Tax through UNA; it's $495, online, and self-paced. Has 4 exams worth 70% of final grade, with quizzes (20%) and homework (10%) making up the other 30% of final grade. Remember that you can likely get tax deduction on your tuition, if that helps your decision any.

Do you know if the accounting CBE exams are multiple choice or do they, like the TECEP, have a computational portion?

I can't do the TECEP again because this was my 2nd time failing.

I'll look at the UNA option. Thank you both!

I was told by an enrollment counselor that all CBE's are multiple choice.
