Civic & Global Learning Section - cleper123 - 12-19-2017 Hi All! Just figuring out the blanks in my degree plan... For section B. Civics & Global Learning, do the following three Study.com courses work for the BSBA GM:? TESU Study.com SOC-101 = Sociology 101: Intro to Sociology PHI-384 = Business 108: Business Ethics POS-110 = Political Science 102: American Government I know I could do the free Institutes ethics but I'd rather get 3 credits. Are there any alternative courses I should consider? Thanks! RE: Civic & Global Learning Section - dfrecore - 12-19-2017 No changes, but actually using the 2cr course opens up more space in Gen Ed Electives for stuff. So it's not a bad idea to use it (I did, because I had plenty of other courses to fill in the GE Electives). I actually don't have many GE electives already and will need to take some so I guess in my case it doens't matter. On the subject of GE electives though, I have passed the A&I Lit CLEP and I gather it comes in as 6cr instead of 3cr (what my community college gave me for it). Do the extra 3cr actually count against GE electives? Or put another way, reduce the required GE elective credit hour requirement by 3cr? Thanks! You get 6cr, and then 3cr will go into Info Lit, and 3cr will go into Gen Ed Electives (or possibly Knowledge of Human Cultures if you need credits there). I think with this exam, it splits it into 2 courses - LIT-291 & LIT-292, 3cr each. |
