I have finished all but some of the tests on Study.com - Ancapman - 12-18-2017 I have a few more tests on study.com, and for cooper smith, BUT I have basically completed everything. I started in April 2017 with Intro to INternet 1 credit English 1 - 3 credits Physical Science - 3 credits Intro to Psych - 3 credits Intermediate Algebra - 3 credits Spanish 1 - 5 credits so 18 credits in April I will by end of month have 121 credits... just over 8 months 103 credits. I had to take some classes slowly at a Community College to get financial aid I took Abnormal Psychology A Educational Psychology A Human Sexuality A Philosophy A English 2 A At Tesu I took Ethics in the Social Sciences A Capstone A I am just happy the writing... the endless writing is over. I do not reccomend taking english 2, ethics in Social Sciences, and Capstone all at once... I spent the last 12 weeks making very slow progress just due to the sheer amount of papers, essays, and forum postings required. I start a BS in Natural Science pre med track at University of Pittsburgh in January. Good luck to all that are working towards their BA! I am having all my transcripts sent over as soon as I finish Study.com in the next week so that they will still count as UL. Path to BA in Psychology + Pre Requisites I. General Education - 60 A. I had to do slow classes too. I prefer CLEP, Study.com, etc! RE: I have finished all but some of the tests on Study.com - eriehiker - 12-18-2017 Nice work. RE: I have finished all but some of the tests on Study.com - bjcheung77 - 12-18-2017 That's awesome! You did it! Does CCAC stand for Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC)? There was another member here that went to the same school, I did a degree plan for them... cool! Does CCAC stand for Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC)? Yes it is, it’s not hard although my English professor whom was head of her Department was pretty awful. She was so slow to grade essays that I didn’t know what my week 1 paper was scored until last week, and this week I got the rest of them. RE: I have finished all but some of the tests on Study.com - bjcheung77 - 12-19-2017 Haha, the main thing is getting over those "lengthy" assignments and writings... it's all good! Sometimes waiting for things is slow, but the final reward in the end outweighs everything! Congrats! Good luck with your BS Nat Sci at U of Pitt... did you get entry into their third year? RE: I have finished all but some of the tests on Study.com - rlw74 - 12-20-2017 Congrats!!!! It is a great feeling to see the finish line and an even better one to get that diploma after all that hard work. I might be answering my own question, but there seem to be two schools that offer pre-med. From my guess, 50-50 unless there's another campus for UofPitt, it may be #2 you're going for UofPitt-Bradford #1: http://www.upb.pitt.edu/premedicine/ UofPitt-Greensburg #2: http://www.greensburg.pitt.edu/academics/biological-science/pre-med-and-health-professions Either way, it's awesome to get that BA first and now you're already working towards that BS Natural/Biological Sciences Cool strategy, I like the way you got that BA Psych first and getting your BS Nat Sci Pre Med track too... Update: Nevermind, haha... there are more campuses... I didn't know they were that large! Its via the honors college, what it does is lets me do all the general sciences (Bio, Chem, Phys, O Chem) and a few more UL science courses. I am actually going to take Calculus at CCAC under advice of the University as Pitt's calculus is apparently super hard. It gets me into their shadowing program, into their volunteer and scribe program as those are requirements to have any acceptance into a Med School. The thing is, I am not really focusing on completing the BS, just the classes, and the program in order to get into Med School. And of course the MCAT preparation they offer. I figure I will need As in all the science and calculus, a 525 minimum MCAT to get into Pitt SOM. |
