I was around back then. If anyone on this forum was transported back in time to 1987, the chance of them taking this class was slim to none ( and I use "slim" just because I don't believe in stating absolutes). Carry on. I did graduate in 1987 from the Big 3 and taking a course from the internet was unheard of. When this quote is taken in context (and not chopped down to this one poorly phrased sentence), he's not really wrong. Even Vinton Cerf, who actually was one of the big pioneers in the invention of the internet, defended Gore's full statement.
