Study.com - Liberty University - nonya - 11-06-2017

Does anyone here have experience using Study.com for credit at Liberty University? It looks like Liberty accepts courses from Study.com based on the Study.com website, but I'd love to hear from someone who has done this first-hand!

Thanks so much!

I haven't used Study.com, but I've successfully transferred in one class from Straighterline and am working on my next two. So if you need some SL courses, that may be another option for you. May I ask what degree you're pursuing? I'm going for the BS Information Systems, General.

The study.com site says that the courses are guaranteed to be accepted at LU, https://study.com/academy/college-accelerator-hub/how-to-transfer-college-credit-earned-on-studycom.html .

I have found that they accept most ACE credits.

I have successfully transferred FEMA credits directly as Free Electives. I need 30 free electives for my degree.  I had completed 19 classes which translated to 14 credits...for free.  Just finished the Shmoops Algebra course and am waiting for it to post.

If you call over to LU and talk to them, they are normally able to tell you if/how things transfer. Our daughter transferred stuff from Straigherline and Penn Foster with no issue.

Someone on another thread mentioned they took her ACE credits and were super helpful in the assessment process. I would encourage you to find out. It doesn't hurt to ask.
