Big 3 Schools and Canadian High School Diploma - waterpaper - 11-03-2017 Hello, I'm originally from Canada but permanently moved to the US with my parents just a few months ago. I have a Canadian high school diploma, so I was wondering if the "Big 3" schools would recognize and allow me to use it. Or do I have to start from scratch and get a GED first? Thanks. It depends also on your province. In Quebec, high school is completed at grade 11, but USA system requires grade 12. In general, you should be fine.
