Age waiver COSC - homeschoolmom1 - 11-02-2017

Has anyone had luck getting an age-waiver to enroll an under-16 year old homeschool high school graduate at COSC?

Has your son already knocked out a volume of credits through outside sources (e.g. StraighterLine, Study, Saylor, Clep)? Asking because his age only matters once he enrolls and COSC carries no real value to enroll until you have maxed out their credit transfer count - your son may be 16 or even older by that time.

There have been a couple young student mentions for COSC & TESU. Use the search option to aid in connecting to some of the examples. My experience is with my daughters and TESU allowing both under 18 (16/17) with 18+ credits to easily be enrolled. The only reason I had them enroll was to take advantage of an outside resource transfer for TESU capstone. There was only a small window available and if I waited for their max transfer it would have passed.

Good luck with your son & congratulations on his awesome performance to date.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Trust me, he is not as accomplished as you make it sound. But when he refuses to pick up his shoes shoes yet again, I hope that he makes a difference in the world some day.
I did read the success stories of some young students here, but they were all at TESU, not COSC. I am considering AA at COSC en route to a BA at TESU. Thank you.
