It one only has limited credits in accounting what would be recommended to take prior to enrolling in an MS in Accounting at WGU?

Requirements from the link you provided:
Demonstrate accounting experience through at least one of the following methods:
A bachelor's degree in accounting
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

An example of a bachelors degree in accounting is the TESU BSBA accounting track.
Non CPA - http://www.tesu.edu/business/bsba/Accounting.cfm
CPA Track - http://www.tesu.edu/business/bsba/AccountingCPA.cfm

Another example is Excelsior's bachelors degree in accounting (BIS Accounting).

If you want, take a look at the basic core accounting and/or required elective accounting courses.
For anyone wanting to do a Masters in Accounting, you "should" have most of these from undergrad studies.

I would say that you should switch your degree to the BSBA in Accounting, or get an Undergrad Certificate in Accounting when you're done with your BSBA. Make sure to take at least 6 accounting courses beyond Accounting I & II - including Intermediate Accounting I & II, Advanced Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and maybe another couple.

I also think you probably need to take actual accounting courses rather than SL/Study.com. If you want a MS in Accounting, you're going to have to know a LOT more than those will teach you. A LOT more.

I agree with making sure you really know accounting because WGU is not going to hold your hand through the coursework.

As always excellent feedback.
