free credits at Excelsior - clep3705 - 09-18-2017 What free courses does Excelsior grant credit for? RE: free credits at Excelsior - Life Long Learning - 09-18-2017 You mean will they except? Or grant like COSC does for FEMA IS? RE: free credits at Excelsior - clep3705 - 09-18-2017 Grant credit means post hours on your Excelsior transcript. Yes, like COSC does for FEMA. Or TESU does for TEEX. RE: free credits at Excelsior - Life Long Learning - 09-18-2017 Excelsior posted all of my ACE credits including all my 13 TEEX credits. They posted all my *DSST (78 SH) *CPL (64) *JST Military/ACE (48) *CBA (44) *CLEP (42) *FEMA IS (40) *FEMA EM (38) *ECE/UExcel (30) *PLA Portfolio (28) *EMI/ACE (19) *TEEX/ACE (13) *CWE (11) *NFA/ACE (10) *Kaplan/ACE (3) *CPC (2) *AICP/ACE (2) *Sophia/ACE (1) *FRTI-UM/ACE (1). They posted all my FCC FEMA IS Credits and CCC EM credits that TESU would not on both. RE: free credits at Excelsior - dfrecore - 09-18-2017 As Life Long Learning is pointing out, they will grant credit for everything that is ACE-approved (or NCCRS approved I think). The only issue - as it is with any school - is whether those credits will fit into your degree plan. RE: free credits at Excelsior - clep3705 - 09-19-2017 No, it's not absolutely true that the only issue is whether or not credits apply to a degree plan. A person may want to go beyond the minimum credits for a degree. The additional credits could show breadth beyond the degree requirements. Add some free credits while waiting for the next session to start, for example. I have seen job postings for BS degrees and ++ more credits in accounting credits. I didn't say this was the only issue in regards to what you're talking about, I said it was in regards to the question you asked - what free credits will they grant credit for. They will grant credit for anything that's ACE or NCCRS-approved. I guess I was confused by what you were asking, I'll be sure not to answer any of your questions again. Sorry. RE: free credits at Excelsior - clep3705 - 09-20-2017 Thanks to both of you, it was the NCCRS part I was missing. |
