Quote:The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) recently announced that Western Governors University (WGU) is a candidate for ACBSP accreditation for its business degree programs. This program-specific accreditation is in addition to the university's regional accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, which was reaffirmed earlier this year.

Pretty nice upgrades for TESU and WGU over the last two years. It's great to see these universities drive to increase their status.

This is great news! WGU has just gone "up" a notch in my list of degree's to complete...
It's now looking a lot nicer with an MBA from them vs Patten or MPA with Hodges.
I guess I'll work on my MIS/IT Certs and wait for the "accreditation" before I begin!

Let's just hope they don't raise prices too much if they get this accreditation...

I doubt it. WGU has prided themselves on only having nominal tuition increases for the past fifteen years. If they up the cost, it's due to the stringent requirements that must be met, and probably will cost every student $100-$150 extra at most (probably much less, like $50/term extra).

I'm glad they went for ACBSP accreditation rather than IACBE. WGU has programmatic accreditation for other programs and didn't raise tuition after earning those. If WGU raises tuition, it'll probably be to keep up with inflation.
