Weird...Spam call from TESU? - davewill - 08-29-2017
Wierd. I've been getting a "SPAM" (Google tagged it as such) call on my cell every night for almost a week. I was about to block it when I decided to search the number online. The search identified it as: THOMAS EDISON STATE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SERVICES DEPARTMENT. I'm still guessing it's some kind of solicitation since the person won't leave a message, but I'll answer next time just to find out what it is.
I do find it weird that Google would tag a number from a public institution as spam.

Also weird is that it is "College" instead of "University." I'm curious what they say when you answer. If I had to guess, I'm going with it being a solicitation for a alumni / foundation / scholarship donation.

I can see them not getting around to changing college to university yet... If they ever do.
Google spam tags take user input into consideration. It may be an automated message so people might mark it as spam.
