Thanks for the advice - shall - 07-05-2017 I just want to say thanks to everyone on the forum. I began trolling this site a couple of months ago and decided to stop what I was doing and give testing a try. I wrapped up my last two over priced, slow, university courses. Then tried a few of the free courses that were mentioned on the forum. Then tried a DSST. I work full time but became obsessed with challenging these tests. I canât believe how many credits I have accumulated in a just a couple of weeks (45 credits in 40 days). I just need the capstone to finish. I will leave by saying what everybody else says. If you are on the fence about testing out, just go for it. I wonder how many silent success stories are hiding out there. So, what are you getting your degree in? Thanks for the advice - bjcheung77 - 07-06-2017 davewill Wrote:Awesome!!!! I wonder how many silent success stories are hiding out there. So, what are you getting your degree in? There are a few, haha. They just popup up saying "Thank you" and they're gone. I've read a couple in the last week alone. Even if they don't do so, we know there are a few who mention DegreeInfo/DegreeForum for advice (Saylor actually has a link). It seemed to be the most direct route for a degree. I may shoot for a business degree at some point just for sport. I really don't have a need but I have enjoyed the challenge. I didn't feel like I was learning through traditional means. By testing out, I had to learn every aspect of the topic on my own. Between using the forum and my own determination, I was able to tackle every test. Thanks again! My favorite part is your "just for sport" comment - I was resolved I'd navigate life without a degree and now I'm nearly finished with my BS and ready to jump into my MBA in a few months. 90%+ of this is thanks to this forum alone! I've mentioned this forum to a number of people - Reddit, Facebook, IRL. Such a great resource. Thanks again, folks!
