Franklin University is a Straighterline partner school and a consideration for one of my kids, so I spent some time poking around. Anyway, they have *seriously* the best transfer tool I've ever seen. If they own it, they should license it to every flipping college in the country. If they are simply users of the tech, then I'm excited that such a great product has been developed.
So go in, select your major(s) and then type in "Straighterline." Select all your SL courses, and they'll populate over into the slots of your major. If you have other RA credit, you can continue to fill it in.

You do NOT need to create an account/username to use the tool. You can, however, if you want to save it.

This is so cool. Franklin University is local to me. I live about an hour north of there now but I have worked on that campus within the last couple of years doing some project management on one of their construction projects. It has a cute little campus and the administration I've worked with has been very nice.

Average age of a student is 28, so they are very much in the "degree completion" lane.
In my case, They have an articulation agreement with our local community college to accept any AAS in full and they are a SL partner school with very generous transfer policies. So, I have at least 1 son looking at their Logistics degree. Based on his dual enrollment and SL credit, I think he'll be walking in with just about 90 credits and can do the rest (his major) online. Now, the AAS full transfer agreement policy asks more questions than it solves, I'm scheduling an apt with the dean of academic advising. I believe, that his dual enrollment logistics courses will serve as his techinical credit, and he won't need the full AAS. I hope that's the case, because I have no interest in climbing that mountain.
But, if his technical credit is through dual enrollment (free) plus his SL credit fills all his gen eds, he is looking at starting his major right at high school graduation. Should be a year or so.
Edit to add: they accept EVERY SL credit, however, it doesn't all fit, and it doesn't always count like you'd expect. Since they don't accept "any" ACE class, there are holes in his evaluation - like marketing or speech.
My son is just starting 11th grade, so I have a lot of time to work this puzzle, but my goal is all gen eds + the technical core by end of high school. I think I can do it, I just need to get the dean on the phone.

Hi CookDeRosa! I am wondering if you have any updated information on Franklin U. This post is the only one that pops up in this forum! My kiddo is interested and would like to transfer some ACE credits (I do not think they currently take those, however). Thank you! (And thank you for your book... I bought it on a whim amd I think you solved a few problems in our family - in one swoop!)

This thread is from 5 years ago and CookDeRosa hasn't been a member for a few years. It's best to look at Franklin U's website and see if this info is on there. They may have made changes since this thread was created.

I know this is an old thread, but has anyone looked into Franklin? Per their website they seem to fit the criteria for a school that would be on this group’s radar. 94 max transfer units. Partnerships to bring down price. It looks like they may even accept some NA credits (based on the fact that they have Sanford Brown in their drop down for their see how your credits may transfer). I’m wondering if it’s just a haven’t looked into it thing, or if there’s another issue that steers people away from them?

When this thread was started, both TESU and COSC still accepted 116 ACE/NCCRS transfer credits. UMPI wasn't a thing. Franklin probably would've been a poor option for students then, though it might be more attractive now. I suspect it's just been forgotten until now.
