Retyping it helps me memorize it. 1917 Russian Revolution (not to be confused with the 1905 or 1922 revolution) Started with Bloody Sunday in Jan, followed by Feb Rev. where Romanov was ousted-Provisional govt established - Kerensky was leader, then Lenin delivered April Theses (on various topics), which led to (or at least followed by) July Days which was related to Kerensky's offense on Austria-Hungary, then the Kornilov Affair, which was a coup against Kerensky, led to the October Rev. Post WWII Stuff Yalta Conference - Feb 1945 - during the war, Roosevelt wanted USSR to join fight against Japan and get USSR into UN. Potsdam Agreement - July 1945 - agreement on foreign policy and reconstruction of Germany after end of war, USSR, USA and UK. Truman Doctrine - May 1947 - Post WWII response to perceived aggression by USSR in Europe and Middle East due to communist movement in Turkey, Iran and Greece. Provided assistance to any country to fight communism. Marshall Plan - July 1947 - AKA European Recovery Plan after it was instituted. Plan to rebuild Europe after WWII, USSR invited but Stalin saw it as threat and didn't let any Soviet nation attend. Warsaw Pact - 1955 - to counter perceived NATO threat. All communist states signed except Yugoslavia - that Tito, such an independent! Albania left in 1961. Hmmm, I think I get it now.
