Looking for input/feedback on Biology CLEP - Test/Course Scheduling - Synicaal - 02-14-2017 Hello All, I'm not looking for specifics about the exam itself, I am curious what people think about the test. It is one of my planned CLEP exams (I only have A&I Lit and this one left) and then I will be done with all planned CLEP exams. A & I Lit is happening It's paid for and scheduled for 3/4/17 but Biology isn't a done deal yet. With needing to take the TECEP for Strategic Management sooner then planned I am rethinking my scheduling of tests/courses. I am really busy with another 5 CC courses right now. 3 of them are on the easy side but 2 are more time consuming. If I pass my midterm for Intermediate Accounting II I will be able to relax a bit in that course because the teacher has a 60+ on at least one of her exams rule. Meaning that if I only get a 59 on the midterm and a 59 on the final I FAIL no matter what. If I get a 60 and a 59 I could pass. So this rule has me very worried about this course as I am paying 600$ out of pocket to take it and don't want to have to take it again. With all that being said I am looking at my test schedule and trying to find some time to squeeze out some credits. My original plan was: 1. The 5 CC Courses (obvious) 2. A & I Lit CLEP (3/4/17) 3. After 3/7/17 I should know what I got on the midterm and if its 60+ Schedule Biology CLEP for 4/1/17. 4. Sign up for April/May term for TECEPs (Fed Income Tax and Strategic Management) 5. After Bio CLEP and passed midterm I was going to sign up for the 4 SL courses I have left and hope to finish them by 5/1/17. 6. Finish CC Classes on 5/12/17 7. Finish TECEPS by 7/1/17 8. Apply for September Graduation 9. Graduate in September As you can see the Strategic Management TECEP will need to be completed by May now as I signed up for the TECEP for March TERM. So my new plan is after the midterm is to take all my free time for the next few weeks and study on Strategic Management and then take that test. If I can get it done quickly I can probably just move back the Bio CLEP to May/June and keep my plan similar. On the other side of things I was averaging a Study.com course in about a week so If there is 2 courses from study.com I could take over the Bio CLEP I could do those in its place. Study.com would actually be a $300 swing though. CLEP/Exam sit fee is 105$ but I'd get it fully reimbursed. and study.com is 200$ a month. I'm open to your suggestions as I wish I could just take a week or so off from work and just bang out the SL courses and get those out of the way. I mean I guess that it technically an option but one I'd rather not take. That's why I took Saylor's 3 cr bio and then took another course in something I was better at to make up the other 3 cr. |
