Study.com Upper Level Course - azt579 - 01-27-2017

I just want to make sure I have this right. So I'm taking Advanced Accounting with Study.com. I have 100 points from the quizzes and 85 points from the project. This means that I only need to get a 25% (or 25 points) on the exam to pass the course at 70% correct? The maximum amount of points you can get for this course is 300.

Didn't they just change their syllabus, and you need a 70% on the final to pass, regardless of what your overall score on the course is? I could be wrong, but I thought that was what happened recently.

I don't think so. If that's the case, it definitely hasn't been relayed to me. I know they changed the way the quizzes are scored. You now only have 3 tries to get 100%. I haven't heard anything about the exams changing though.

You just need 210 overall, no final requirements. If you have a 90 and 20 then all you need is a 20 Smile
Just finished the class! The final was easier than I expected

How long are these courses taking?

Actually for that course you need 300 points overall. I found the exam to be easier than I expected too. I think the practice final really prepares you for it!

It takes me about a week and a half to two weeks to complete the study.com courses. But I have a full time job and a child, so I'm sure it's possible to get through them more quickly if you have more time throughout the week.

One thing I really like about study.com is that a lot of the business courses have overlapping videos so you'll start a course and realize that you've already completed a number of the quizzes for it. I mentioned in another thread that I started the advanced accounting course with around 40% or 50% already completed because I had taken Financial accounting prior to it. Because of that, it took me less than a week to complete the rest of the videos and quizzes for the course.

That would be odd with ACE increasing how much they are requiring in project/assignments for accreditation. As we were told in a previous comment Study.com's own communications course was only originally listed as 2 credits and not 3 because it only had one speech required. They increased it to 3-4 and it's now a 3cr class

The entire class is out of 300, 210 would = 70%
