Principles of Finance for TESU BSBA - tsimmns - 11-17-2016 What is the quicker route if you had to guess, Penn Foster or Study.com? I know the Penn Foster course doesn't have webinars like the Strategic Management did, but just looking to see how fast people have competed each for a comparison. I also read that PF didn't have a proctors final is this also true? Principles of Finance for TESU BSBA - Synicaal - 11-17-2016 Just did principles of Finance on Study.com took about a week and a half but that was with other stuff going on. Principles of Finance for TESU BSBA - tsimmns - 11-17-2016 And I see where the final was proctored? I've never taken a study.com class is it similar to SL? Principles of Finance for TESU BSBA - bjcheung77 - 11-18-2016 It's up to you to decide on "price" or "time", as it's going to depend on what you really want. Principles of Finance (Penn Foster Financial Management) was a quick 2 day course for me. Pricing for it is $299 now; I paid $237 for the course and it's not proctored, it's very easy. I am planning on taking only Upper Level credits from Study.com or hard to find ones. Personally, I haven't taken a course from Study.com yet, but I like their "newer system". Study.com is easy as well and very competitively priced. However, it's lengthier at $199. Study.com uses Secure Software as a recording/proctoring service. It's different than SL. Take your time and see which one looks to be what you need and decide from that... http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-thomas-edison-charter-oak-specific/26431-penn-foster-business-courses-similar-financial.html Principles of Finance for TESU BSBA - ndelco - 11-18-2016 bjcheung77 Wrote:Study.com is easy as well and very competitively priced. Plus you can now add on additional courses for only $70 while subscribed for the month. $270 is a great price for 9 credits and doing 3 courses in a month on Study.com is very doable. I am currently attempting 4 courses per month. Principles of Finance for TESU BSBA - rowan555 - 11-18-2016 Additionally, the proctored exams at Study.com don't need to be scheduled ahead of time as with SL since it's proctored by an automated system which is reviewed at a later date. You can just click the button and take the final at any point you are ready - it makes it a bit easier in terms of scheduling than SL sometimes is. |
