Use of instantcert study guides for other tests? (SL, Saylor etc.) - TESUAbroad - 09-24-2016 Have any of you used instantcert to study for Saylor or Straighterline courses? I don't have any CLEP/DSST centers near me at the moment so that is not an option. I Would love to know of other peoples experience in this regard. ( Also, I didn't really enjoy study.com format personally as I found their videos to be lackluster - so don't recommend this to me ). Thanks in advance for your input Edit: Just realized I posted this in the wrong forum sub-category, sorry about that. :leaving: Use of instantcert study guides for other tests? (SL, Saylor etc.) - Notgodot - 09-25-2016 I haven't yet, but I plan to use IC for as many Saylor courses as I think will help. I'm also overseas without access to testing centers. My plan is to use IC in conjunction with the practice exams. I've done two Saylor courses so far, and the amount of material to get through is just massive. Ain't nobody got time for that! hilarious Use of instantcert study guides for other tests? (SL, Saylor etc.) - dfrecore - 09-25-2016 I'm not sure why you would use IC for SL, as it's a course you have to work through and take quizzes/tests on anyway. And I don't think their material coincides with the exams the IC's were meant to be used for. Use of instantcert study guides for other tests? (SL, Saylor etc.) - TrailRunr - 09-25-2016 I've taken four SL courses. You don't need IC at all. For most of the SL courses, just get the e-book, make sure it works to search for specific terms (no OCR versions, no physical text), and use it during the non-proctored exams. Repeat the 1st exam until you get close to 100%. I would suggest reading the other SL threads for tips on getting through SL efficiently. No need to reinvent the wheel when there is a very efficient way to pass most SL classes quickly. Note: There are a few SL classes where the above won't work. |
