Ph.d or Ed.d programs? - C11smith - 09-14-2016

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and don't really know where to start. I'm a teacher with a masters degree who has been taking graduate-level courses to advance on my salary scale. I have 45 credits beyond my masters. I'm wondering if there would be a way to apply these credits to a doctoral program. I'm having trouble finding information online and am not even sure if this is possible.
Any advice on where to begin?
Thanks!

University of the Cumberlands and Valdosta State University are possibilities.

Lamar University has an Ed.D. that takes a lot of transfer credit.

I know many people who have completed a master's degree through their program and they really liked it.
