COSC - General Ed Science Requirements? - dannistjames - 08-29-2016 I've been watching this forum from the shadows for about a year now, but I've finally decided to take the leap into getting my degree. I do have some questions before I get started though. I know COSC requires 7 science credits, but does it matter what science credits they are? Could I: Take SL Anatomy & Physiology I w/ lab & II? Take Chemistry I and Bio I w/ lab? Take Physics I w/ lab and Environmental Science? I'm just trying to figure out my options and make a plan. Any advice is welcome! COSC - General Ed Science Requirements? - drama911 - 08-30-2016 Would a CLEP exam in Biology yielding 6 credits satisfy the lab requirement with the science (i.e., count as Biology with Lab)? No, but you could take the Biology CLEP and then take the lab only through Straighterline. COSC - General Ed Science Requirements? - KayV - 08-30-2016 The way that many people here have dealt with the Science + Lab requirement lately is either by taking Straighterline Biology with Lab for four hours http://www.straighterline.com/colleg...e-equivalency/ check for coupons! or by taking any Nutrition course/ test (from TECEP, UExcel or Straighterline) along with a Nutrition lab from Rio Salado. It's keeping a food diary for a few days. Rio Salado College | Rio Salado College https://matrix.riosalado.edu/RioWebA...ctionNum=32242 Check to make sure that Rio Salado will accept students from your state before you plan on that one. You can take any other 3-hour Science to finish the 7 hours. |
