I did not know that some of Excelsior's non-credit programs were NCCRS-approved for college credit. The Six Sigma Black Belt program is evaluated at the graduate level.

These programs are expensive, though. So, unless you've completed one of these programs as job training, I wouldn't go through them just for the purpose of earning a few college credits. An actual college course will be cheaper. Most of the programs are only evaluated for 3-6 credits, and they cost from over $1,000 to over $2,000.

Yes, it's a bit expensive though for this type of certification. I touched up on it a couple of months back.

Update: There's two types of accreditation agencies, generic accreditation http://www.iassc.org/ and the gold standard http://asq.org/index.aspx
